Melanie Smith, DO
Dr. Melanie R. Smith is a dedicated, compassionate breast imaging radiologist at The Breast Center with over 12 years of experience working in women’s health.
Dr. Smith interprets screening and diagnostic imaging and performs interventional breast procedures. She is passionate about educating women about breast health and early detection of breast cancer, as well as improving the experience for people with breast cancer for the best possible outcomes.
Before joining The Breast Center of Northwest Arkansas, a MANA Clinic, Dr. Smith was the Director of Breast Imaging at Mercy Breast Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. During her time in Oklahoma City, she served as a leader at the Multidisciplinary Breast Conference, helped improve the breast cancer patient navigation process, and spoke at women’s health education events.
Dr. Smith is a member of the Society of Breast Imaging, the American College of Radiology, and the Radiological Society of North America.
